Alumni Newsletter

May 2012

Greetings fellow Alumni!

Spring is such a great time of renewal and creation! For me, this sense of ‘newness’ has an even greater meaning as we are expecting our first child on June 3, and my wife, Pam, is quite a ways along in her part of our child’s creation!

Also wound up in this sense of newness, I was blessed by being able to attend the NBC Graduation Banquet and Ceremony on April 21 and 22. It was so encouraging to see a new wave of NBC graduates as they passionately move forward in their lives and walks with God. I hope that we, as an Alumni body, will uphold these graduates (and fellow alumni) in prayer and encouragement as they go forward to spread the hope offered by our Lord and Saviour!

Although this is quite early, I would also like to mention this year’s upcoming Alumni Weekend in a brief, save-the-date kind of fashion. This year’s Alumni Weekend will take place on November 23 – 25. Plans are being made, and I assure you that this will be an amazing time of encouragement, reconnection, and fun! Please make sure you keep this in mind, and mark it on your calendars. If you have any comments, or would like to be involved, please let me know! One other Alumni-related item I would like to mention is the ‘Alumni’ portion of NBC’s website. I love going to the class lists to see which people attended in which years. We are working at increasing this database, but it currently reaches back to students from 1965. It’s a great way to refresh your memory regarding your classmates! You can access the Alumni site through the NBC website, or go directly to the class lists by going to this address: http://nipawin.org/alumni.html/class-lists.html. You will also find links to past Alumni Weekends, interviews, job postings, and ways to get involved with the school!

Lastly, I would like to mention one way that we can be God’s hands and feet to the school. This summer, a massive renovation is taking place to transform the upstairs area of the gym to a student lounge, a gym viewing area, and a couple offices. If you are willing and able to help out (even just for a day), please contact the school!

May God richly bless you as you continue on your walk with Him throughout this summer!

In Christ,

Ryan Jansen
