The renovation of the Men's Dormitory is underway. It is only one month into the project and already a front porch has been added, the drywall is installed, taping is underway, and new underground electrical service has been hooked up. The renovation is moving ahead right on track with our ambitious schedule. We praise God for providing the manpower for this incredible start!
Taping the drywall joints – May 26-30
Would you be willing to come and help with some part of the renovation? It's a complete overhaul, so there is something for everyone to do. All trade skills are needed plus general volunteer help.
What kinds of help are still needed?
- Plumbing
- Painting
- Flooring/Finishing
- Continual Clean-Up help
- Lots more
Snapshots of the work during the week of May 26-30
The project began in earnest on April 21, the day after graduation. The finances are in place and some material has already been donated.
Come for a few days, weeks, or longer. Accomodations and meals will be provided for volunteers.
SUMMER EVENTS
Although campus life does slow down a bit during the summer "holidays", there are several events that liven things up.
The first Saturday in June is traditionally the date for our Charity Golf Tournament. There is still room for more golfers in this year's tournament on June 7. The cost is $100 per golfer. That entitles you to 18 holes of golf, a prize-draw in which each golfer gets a prize, and a great steak supper. Of course, the funds we raise go toward keeping the cost of tuition low for our students.
The week of June 9-13 marks our 19th annual Seniors' Retreat. This retreat is geared for those who are 55+. Join us for a week of personal refreshment and spiritual renewal blended with learning and fellowship.
