From November 23-25 the campus was filled with alumni of NBI/TRBI who came out for our annual Alumni Retreat.
The weekend included an alumni vs. students soccer tournament and hockey game as well as plenty of good food and time for catching up with old friends. The alumni association held a meeting on Saturday morning, where they decided to buy the school some new speakers, a snowblower, and (if enough money is raised) projectors for each classroom. By the end of the weekend the alumni had come up with over $6,000 – enough to purchase the speakers and tractor-mounted snowblower. Any money donated to the alumni project through the rest of the year will be used toward the purchase of projectors for the classrooms.
Some highlights of the retreat were the Praise & Worship time on Saturday night and president Wes Fehr giving alumni president Jason Elford a pie in the face as part of a fund-raising challenge they had agreed to.
The Alumni Retreat is always a fun time of seeing friends and reconnecting with the school. Plan to come next November!
